About us? Well in short, we are a group of friends from Connecticut that decided “jumping out of perfectly good airplanes” can raise money for great causes!

How it all began…

Back in 2013 Bruce asked Tim if he was interested in a fundraising event for veterans in Long Island, NY and for the money he raised he would get to skydive for free! Tim raised his money and took his first plunge out of an airplane over Long Island. He loved it so much that every year they got more and more willing CT brave souls to head across Long Island Sound to support our troops. Ron and Christie took their first jumps in 2015.

Unfortunately 2015 was the last year when the NY skydiving place closed down. So that is when the bright idea came, why don’t we start our own skydive fundraising event right here in CT! House of Heroes CT were angels in giving us all their support and help to get this up and running. We contacted CT Parachutists in Ellington and they jumped right on board (pun, haha).  Now we just need jumpers. We were amazed with such a great turnout, we had 26 jumpers for our first year! We raised over $12,000 to help our Veterans!

We all donate our time and individual expertise to make this possible. What do we get out of it? (so many ask us) Well, of course do our part to help those in need and the amazing feeling of being a part of that. Plus we run around talk to people (we have a few “chatty Kathys” in our group), educate them on the great programs out there that support veterans, then ask them for money to support us “jumping out of perfectly good airplanes”. We meet great people and make new friends. Our weekly board meetings consist of go over agendas, marketing strategies… we joke, laugh and have a good time doing it. We have fun making a difference. And that’s what it’s all about.

ALL our proceeds go to House of Heroes CT Chapter in Hamden, CT and Work Vessels for Vets located in Noank, CT. Links to their websites to learn more about them is located on Supporting Our Troops page.
